Intoduction to Web Theories
Web 2.0 a term popularized by O'Reilly media refers to the second generation of web evolution.
Web 2.0 is dynamic unlike Web 1.0 which is static and allows more interaction between the human and the web.
Basically web 2.0 is trying to make the web act more like the desktop environment. This is closer to what Tim Burner's Lee wanted when he originally created the web, a democratic place where the average user can do it his or her self.
When Tim O'Reilly was asked what he defined Web 2.0 as Web 2.0 is the understanding that the network is the platform and the rules are different(than the desktop environment).
Ajax is the main technology term used for web 2.0. Ajax allows much more interactive websites.
Google is the king of web 2.0, it has acquired Youtube and has developed Google maps which both are web 2.0 applications.
Whencomparing web 2.0 to web 1.0 you can think Kodak vs. Flickr. Kodak is 1.0 where you have to upload your file and Kodak prints it off and sends the photos to you and you can show them to the people you know in hard copy.
Compare that to Flickr which is Web 2.0, you upload files to the net and your friends can login and view them anywhere and print them off at their leisure.

Think human like artificial intelligence where machines can read web pages such as a human could.
That simply means not to simplify the data for the machines, but to make the machines smarter.
The principals of web 3.0 is that applications that are pieced together, data is in the cloud, any device, very small, very fast and spread very fast and virally.
Anarticle explains what web 3.0 can do.
The article begins with an imaginary girl named Lucy, whose mother has just been told by her doctor that she needs to see a specialist.
"At the doctor's office, Lucy instructed her Semantic Web agent through her hand held Web browser," we read. "The agent promptly retrieved information about Mom's prescribed treatment from the doctor's agent, looked up several lists of providers, and checked for the ones in-plan for Mom's insurance within a 20-mile radius of her home and with a rating of excellent on trusted rating services."
